All sweets look identical. Exactly one weighs differently. The case tells you whether it is heavier, lighter, or either.

  1. Choose Left pan or Right pan, then tap the numbered sweets. Choose On the counter to remove a sweet.
  2. Put the same number on each pan. Weigh them. A heavier pan sinks; equal pans balance.
  3. Use the result to rule out explanations. Your notebook tracks the evidence. Hide its assistance for a harder challenge.
  4. Identify the sweet and whether it is heavier or lighter before you run out of ideas. You can accuse after your final weighing.

“Suggest a weighing” arranges a balanced comparison that separates the remaining possibilities. It never reveals the hidden sweet. Using hints marks the case as assisted.
